Refuse Collection Coordinator

DUTIES: Under general supervision, assists in supervising and coordinating refuse collection, rodent control and recycling operations citywide to ensure efficiency of operation and proper allocation of resource; Ensures maximum utilization of manpower and minimum disruption of service; Compiles daily worksheets; Prepares and analyzes citywide activity and status reports; Identifies trends, potential problem areas and opportunities for improvement in refuse collection services; Recommends alternate staffing for emergency weather situations and other program changes; Investigates and responds to complaints regarding sanitation services and enforces municipal sanitation codes; Assists in street-sweeping and snow removal operations; Supervises rodent baiting and cart distribution as needed; Performs related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Four years of progressively responsible experience relating to refuse collection, or four years of progressively responsible clerical experience relating to refuse collection, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. A valid U.S. driver’s license is required.
