Open Enrollment for Health Care

Open Enrollment for Health Care starts today for City Employees and ends October 26. See below for the message from the City. If you don’t have any changes to make, you do not need to do anything during open enrollment.

During open enrollment you can:

·  Change, enroll in or cancel, medical, dental and vision coverage for yourself or your dependents

·  Elect your annual Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Contributions

All changes are effective January 1, 2023

(Available 24/7/365, OE period closes at 11:59 p.m. CDT on 10/26/2022)

Or by calling the Benefits Service Center toll free at 1-877-299-5111

(You are strongly encouraged to use the Employee Benefits Portal; due to high call volumes there may be longer wait/hold times)

Call Center Extended Hours of Operation

Your annual Open Enrollment Guide was mailed to your home address in early October. You can also download the Guide on the City of Chicago website www.cityofchicago.org/benefits or by logging into the Employee Benefits Portal. The Guide provides an overview of the benefits available, and the deadlines associated with the annual Open Enrollment process. Open Enrollment is the only time of the year an employee may change, enroll, or cancel benefits (outside of a major life event such as a birth or marriage).

Make your changes today to avoid the rush!
